Is it a Martin or an Ovation? No. It is exactly what it looks like. A fairly cheaply made (but seemingly well made) guitar for beginners. Tone quality, not great but serviceable. I replaced the strings with my own favorites but the strings provided were fender strings and would work for a beginner. Arrived undamaged and semi-playable out of the box with a little tuning. Holds tune well considering price. The built in tuner isn't anything to write home about but works and makes traveling with this guitar easier. Case fits snug, and has been fairly durable thus far.If you are looking for a beginner guitar with everything you need in one package, this is for you. If you already play guitar well, this is a good addition to the collection when you don't want your nice guitar out near the fire drinking/camping with friends. (that is what I use this for)
