I bought a set of these (both neck and bridge positions) to replace some muddy overwound pickups in a squire affinity jazzmaster. The output resistances are true to the specifications and just about identical to the big name products. They sound like the big name pick ups to me as I have the Alinco 2 set in another guitar. If you like the Appetite for Destruction guitar tone but don’t have $240, give these a try. I’m satisfied with both the tone and price. The quality of the build seems good (little messy with the potting wax). The lead wires are even impossibly small and need care around the soldering iron just like the name brand. All said it’s a good value.I have an Ibanez ARX300 guitar that I like. The neck feels great, easy to play, very very comfortable. While the guitar's playability is great, the ceramic pickups (ACH1) that came with it seems lifeless to me.It is not that bad, but I find myself looking for something else. I did a little research and found out that mostof the music that I listen to, (60's & 70's) were mostly done with guitars using alnico pickups. Although Ibelieve even more songs were recorded using P90's & Fender's single coils. But for humbuckers, my choiceswere between alnico II or alnico V. A simple search on Amazon yielded tons of pickups. From $250 for asingle neck pickup to $13 for a set of 2 pickups. I didn't want to get a super cheap one but neither would Ipay for a pickup that costs as much as a guitar. So I settled for the OriPure alnico II neck pickup at about $30.It was an easy install. It sounded good, better than the stock ceramic pickup on my guitar. It has a bit moredefinition. Overall, I like the sound that I was getting. Having said all that, the difference was "not" night & day.The clouds did not part and no angels were singing. It's not a jump from a small cheap solid state amp to afull blown boutique tube amp. But for the money I paid, I got the improvement I was looking for. Good upgrade!Me encantó!!! Excelente calidad precioI don’t like the sound of this humbucker I tried everything I know and the sound is terrible I don’t recommend this productI pickup sono ottimi! vanno benissimo per suonare blues e pop rock con non troppa distorsione.
