The guitar is exactly the same than the picture. Since it's not varnished it's really smooth to the point of sliding (not the best for beginners). Strings are pretty bad, low tension, no sound. It has a too low volume, no power BUT it's quite comfortable to be played.. Anyway, for almost the same price you can take a Yahama c40 and it's way betterI have always been of the opinion that you had to pay tons of money to get this kind of tone from a classical guitar, and as far as tone goes, I'm really beyond impressed with this guitar. the neck is straight and perfectly intonated right out of the box with no additional setup required, The action is a little high but very playable. The light weight nylon gig bag seems to be a good quality and well padded. with an additional pocket on the front. pretty standard fare really. The tuning machines are kind of a cheap looking gold color but they are precise and hold their tune even after playing pretty aggressively.the fingerboard is nicer than I would ever expect at this price point. the frets are really small (compared to steel stringed guitars I'm used to) and semi polished, there are no rough ends but they could stand to be dressed up a little for comfort but its really very acceptable as it came.It has a very nice 3 color binding on the front and back of the body and a truss rod to adjust the neck. The nut and bridge are of course plastic. The rough cut rosette looks cheaply done and there are sanding scratches around the bodyA peak inside tells a little more of the story. This doesn't matter to me so much because it sounds so good but its clear where corners were cut to keep it at this price point. It is well braced, a strange pattern it seems but I'm not a luthier and don't have a lot of experience with nylon stringed guitars. what caught my eye though was the lack of craftsmanship and questionable materials. it appears to be made with scraps? some ribs are clearly shorter than intended, and have never seen a piece of sandpaper. there is glue and sawdust/dirt(?) everywhere and it has a block that looks like its discolored from age. The truss rod hole was unfinished and had some wood shavings clinging to it from being drilled with a dull bit.Overall I really like this guitar. I kinda wish that I hadn't looked inside of it but the issues I found don't seem to affect the sound quality, at least initially. We will see how well it ages. I foresee it being my main couch axe for a while and will get lots of abuse. I will keep you posted.I have played guitar for quite a few years. I have used some really nice acoustic guitars and I have used some cheap ones. I was not expecting much from this, but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.HOW THIS COMESThis comes well wrapped inside a gig back and then that is packed in a cardboard box.QUALITYThe quality of this guitar is surprisingly nice. It is well made without being cheap looking. There are not any glaringly sharp edges, the frets are decently made and placed, and I did not have any issues with buzzing or sound as I got to the upper frets. The tuning pegs seem to be well made and hold the tuning well without slipping or issues.SOUNDThe sound of this is really nice. It has a great acoustical sound without sounding dead or muffled at all. I have to say this is WAY nicer than I expected from this guitar. The strings are not even too bad that come with it. They stayed in tune after only a few days of working with them.LESSONSAlthough the lessons that come with this online are good to get you off to a good start, there are plenty of other places you can get help online or with a teacher, so this is a good feature, but don't depend just on the lessons that come with this.GIG BAGThe bag that comes with this is also a step up. It is very well padded, has a good zipper installed CORRECTLY (many are not which causes the zippers to break fast) and has great shoulder straps. The front pocket is a decent size for papers and other accessories that you will want with the guitar.THE BOTTOM LINEThis guitar is a lot nicer than I expected. The quality is decent and the bag is also a step above. I love the sound that comes from this- it is well rounded and makes it sound like a guitar that has been played a while-something I don't come across in new cheaper guitars too often.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. I recommend this not only for beginners (nylon is easier on the fingers) but for those who can not afford an expensive guitar but still want to explore acoustic guitar.SOUNDI tried to make a video for you because the sound is so good I wanted you to hear it, but the camera kept malfunctioning and it sounded like I was playing next door with the door shut. Not a great sound, trust me. I hope to get something for you in the future, if I can find a better way to record it.This is a really good guitar for the price. In terms of craftsmanship. It is not the best guitar I have seen, but the overall smoothness and quality make it a nice playable guitar. The sound quality is very good at this price. I am a beginner and I would definitely recommend this guitar for beginners.
